first on the agenda is the approval of the agenda next on the agenda is public participation I see we have your name and your address that would be great Pond Road in Grantham I'm not living there at the moment but I own I own the house we need to motion if you want Jerry to be involved Jerry can you hear us I sure can can you guys hear me reminder Christian and Julian are also should I do them separately or can I do them together Jillian and Jerry to move billion into the session and second pregnancy patient thank you. I don't know I didn't forget anything like formal presentation or anything I just wanted to kind of maybe provide some updates and ask a couple questions and I'm sure everyone is aware that certain pursuing a solution for aftercare and a GPS and I started off looking at one organization which I'm still kind of looking at but another one and itself as a better option, and the reason being so vague about this is because right now they're not committing because their Board needs to a server room making an offer to do this before the board meeting and so I guess a few updates one is that you've probably seen that I've been on social media beds and three emails and through social media have been contacted by a number of parents with kids that I do to somewhere between 15 and 20 total children who are either an immediate need or will be in need of Aftercare the next one or two years in addition to the 15 or so they're already getting out of here over at the Grand the actual need is significantly higher and maybe double that the organization that I'm looking at is in the midst of firing a site director for different location and has multiple candidates and so they're discussing the possibility of having Canada's it could be a site director at CVS as early as this coming fall but that's not anything to happen so that's something that could potentially could come onto the agenda and so I guess my question to the school board is if an organization as well that it comes and makes an offer to have an after-care program at CVS what barriers if any are they going to encounter will they encounter any barriers are will CVS be open to the idea of this happening I'll do a singing cat and I have talked before I'm on the phone and I think from my perspective just the building space question is one that can't answer probably on this day that's probably the biggest question is probably would how's it physically on site and then transportation is the other that's a lot of money and we're stressed really tight in front of the Staffing and finances on that particular front of transporting kids so those are the two things that you and I talked about the idea of transporting kids elsewhere is not something I I'm looking at I'm I'm talking about after care for a 40 kids elsewhere to be able to use this Rim but I think that would just become too complex with trying to arrange bus routes and whatever there is a possible that the organization offer after Care Program here at CVS as soon as this coming fall I would say that it's more likely that it's about 20 25 but in case it's possible I'm wondering if the arrangements could be made. see if your information suggests that I can tell you that the owner of random chills Academy reached out to me first lady and congratulated me on trying to do this and said that she was very open to GPS having Aftercare program at CVS and that she had no interest in doing it so yeah I think it's cuz I think Facebook she is just the director of the program, Microsoft. in the next 3 weeks or so the same Imperial time will look at that contract market like Jillian Wilson any other questions or did you have any idea about how many students we would be looking at 47 talking to said that and I don't know how this stuff but it sounds as though the space it at CVS would only allow up to 36 kids so that would be the max that she dies would allow for Staffing allows for I think hand chime children staff member with a permanent site to rent her taken care of and kids so it's a matter of Staffing so I don't think she trying to go beyond and 30 kids for staff member 30 CAD program ultimately she didn't if she does starting this coming fall then she doesn't think she should be at Max 30 child capacity that fall and then probably start off at 10 or 20 in them did you have kind of a ballpark idea hours of care miss the last meeting but I've caught insurance coverage come up French girl when we talked about our liability cool yeah so if it's an outside entity looking to establish a program where we have facilities use policy that comes with it certain expectations one of those is adequate liability insurance to cover the activities of the program under yes thank you is it just for my perspective the only other thing I think I'd be talking about it too and didn't you mention this face because we had breakfast apartment also using the building in the gym so depending on the afternoon would only be the cafeteria available I know that this organization that one of the schools that there are maybe both is supposed to write don't use a gym and so I think they would be happy to share the gym thank you I will go to the public participation for now we have another session in the end and next on the agenda is our school board liaison Okay so I don't know about 2 months so try to give a general overview but more so I have been happening so I think he's just very very well the average score in our school was 11129 with any other school in the state with 995 and the average of all was 951 to that boy Lebanon High School plays for we are on our way now and many grandkids were on the other also we're doing a great job is next Thursday May 16th please come if you are able to list of graduates out and if you don't graduate in West Allis tag the month they are due at the end of May summer and fall sports schedule is not posted and registration is open for those for these are correct you're great you keep going out of town for 2 weeks in the hole it is open to 6 right on the bus I know it doesn't lie to everybody in the school but it is so this is sad for Jason week so we love you and we are receiving my notes from the students and also our National Honor blood drive is tomorrow Wednesday we can go 28th we have 35 so we are literally full and National friends are Society induction is B-17 so that is all the kids that at least 90 in French and at least a b-plus average in other classes and we have a lot of serious writing that we are very very proud of graduation is June 6th again if you want to support some of our seniors we have a lot up there we have some kids to go into many prestigious colleges including want to go to the Air Force is weak and letters and they'll have like the colleges were there going to be back on track in those we're doing a lie test underclassmen awards ceremony coming up soon and spring-trap is coming up to we're doing tons of fun games and stuff like that organized our Paris Olympics with my friend pictures and stuff like that we're doing a horse riding and we're doing swimming using like the little push board which means you basically get to eat like 15220 Bree cookie Arlo Hastings who is the school has written a play along with their partner dating Kelly and they'll be performing this summer cuz I can tell you if you want to know are energy drinks bad for cats Ali I have a lot of things with Dorothy but I'm for grass that diverse inclusive Bob and stash our society the train that to teacher appreciation week and then we have caffeine Curtis around 7. the coffee is in cocoa that kind of thing to the teachers music by Matawan are marshmallows candy I have a total of 300 cans diet Food Kitchen and then Spring Fest I just wanted to, I will bring him ice cream cart that is owned by one of the teachers like that earlier the next they were super attractive and quite a lot of information and Pittsburgh lhs's bad parking is bad so very important that happened a lot of people were talking about skipping out on the assembly but it actually when they got there and we started playing it really brought us all together green line Green Arrow those are going to Highline thank you I feel you're welcome welcome circulate or check out 529 titles we weeded 353 titles to keep ourselves nice and fresh and keep everybody ready to be able to read and then this year we kind of separator early chapter books into also some technology stuff that they worked on throughout the year. Hopefully the weather none of this is weather dependent so you know hopefully it holds out we talked at length about some of that there's a plan in place to try to workaround end-of-year stuff work around recesses in the leg and just using that but that's all we've got so super happy about that and I didn't and I thought I would love to climb on that so other than that we will need them tonight but other than that my report other than the things that you need to turn it on the agenda thank you that will happen after school do you perceive it we're going to get close the playground or part of the summer do you see what I mean from The Graduate last they would like to get the seat in the hillside kind of the infield know what they could get me a workout we we definitely tried to work around that we have to try to keep this what are summer programs Sheridan said it's more just come in for your birthday it is at the end of the project when do they have to come back again for anything child Thank you Lisa next on the agenda is Arkansas Christine our CIA director hey guys can you hear me okay great I think you have a copy of my report I think three big things I would point out is that we're getting really close to that Master professional development plan being ready still planning to bring it to you guys in June we're going to review staff wide next Wednesday on it and so we'll get some last-minute input committee will come together make any revisions really in that plan all we're doing is streamlining what we called individual professional development plan that teachers have to put forth for their three-year cycle we've kind of been able to streamline it and cut some things down that we think will make it more manageable for our staff along that same lines I've been heavy into the development of Frontline my learning plan that's the platform we talked about that's cutting across all three schools and again will be a more efficient mechanism for our staff to track their professional learning on an ongoing basis so that was a be there April was huge grant writing months for me so we're working yeah working on lots of Grants on behalf of SAU 75 I submitted over $42,000 in request offer literacy so that we could actually pilot will not pilot but Implement our wit and wisdom program hey through six we know that we've got K through three covered by the burn Foundation Grant so we're hoping we'll get this G really got my fingers crossed because in the grand had said that any school that didn't get funding last year would have priority this year in Grantham submitted last year but didn't get funding so I'm really hoping we get in that will be a great Focus next year we are taking a group to Henniker to sau24 cuz they've been implementing wit and wisdom for the past year and our teachers are going to get to see it in action where do that May 22nd for taking off about a half a dozen Educators with us thanks to Kristen for finding those subs she recruited those college kids in Meredith Meredith and I worked on some of our other federal grants got those submitted the biggie right now that I'm working on is called resea Consolidated application and that covers all our title granted something new that Delia is having us through this year and so I'm working on that we're good progress I would say we're about 70% done on that I just I'm waiting for them to give us our preliminary the allocations so I can then include our estimated Budget on activities back to them and I think the last thing I would probably point out is that I'm watching a house bill 1015 it's likely going to its past and it's likely going to the gum Karen will like the likely be approved it's dealing with specific literally literary instruction that will have to provide I'm not so concerned about I know we've already provide that great instruction honestly in all three of our buildings some more concerning part of the bill in in is what has a lot of Administrators concern right now is how they're actually going to hold us accountable to some of the language in the Bell just to give you a sense you know what the bill actually reads is that sample you have to provide explicit systematic instruction what's the definition of that we don't know right who's who judgment is going to be on whether were explicit and systematic right in in Spriggs a another one there is that it states let me find it okay the interesting thing is that it connects it back to the minimum School approval standards for public schools and as you all know I've kind of been that's been my baby this year the minimum School approval for standards for public schools and if the commissioner gets his wish and wipes out all the content areas there's nothing this law is going to be able to point back to so it's interesting to see how this law is going to play out in the context of the 306 rules to just keeping an eye on that again I'm not so concerned of will be able to show it but the question is how are they going to do deem if we're at the low they expect because the accountability piece is really missing from the lot so that's any questions reach out to me if think that's really incredible if we get the literacy crabs are there going to be on the One cost something about her factored into the budget for maintaining the resources and 336 but I don't expect them to be that high it's real replacement of some student Edition books but I've been talking to some folks and you don't always have to replace them every year I'm so it's really just some student consumable type work books that we would have to replace we would have to next year purchase the digital license for a teacher's but I would go for a multi at that point right now I had him Quote us one year because I didn't know where our funding was going to come from but they do offer an eight-year digital licensing and I would like to go after that once I know we've got this up and running and then that way we could pay up front you know I'm getting those quotes now she's supposed to be sending it to me by the end of the week so I know what does reoccurring cost should be but I do know anticipating them being high based upon what others have told me so so every year in the budget various teachers are waiting for this and put us in for this a piecemeal to reading curriculum I can't guarantee I don't know what the costs are but it's probably going to be but it's not going to be like for a thousand every year that we're going to I would say we probably come in between and I don't even think I want to say 6000 but I'm going to say hi that way if I come in lower you'll get you'll be ecstatic but I would say somewhere between six and seven thousand Maybe maybe and that'll be even lower if I can get that multi-year digital package paid for next year then we're good for 8 years and then it just goes down to student Edition books really good at negotiating Play exciting thank you talked to the recreation department of us doing our start of summer celebration at the rec field they think baseball will not interfere with it I've been so busy I forgot we have a form of guilt
