I will call the meeting to order at 6:04 and to start like a motion to let bill um attend virtually as a voting member of the board so moved give me a second sorry do you want a second we're gonna let Phil vote virtually yes I checked the motion just put my ears in okay any discussion all right um all in favor I I I I can I you can now you can now you're in okay okay um first order of business is approval of the agenda any edits can I have a motion to approve the agenda so moved second all in favor I I be busy not sure so first we have public participation um check Randy's on board but um I don't know if he wants to speak or anything but anybody all right seconds here I think we're good but we will move forward all right first order of business are non indications and retirements sure so I'll start with the nominations first and start with our first nomination who is here tonight um so I would like to introduce Mr Stephen Barry um he comes to us with over 20 years experience in the Kerr Regional School District with various it roles um and it is my pleasure to nominate him tonight at a salary of 85,000 as director of Technology um I'm assuming you might want to take the nominations 1 at yes um and so I'll he's here if you have any questions you'd like to ask him um you are certainly welcome to do that but I'm happy to present this nomination to you tonight me so uh I was a part of the group that interviewed and we're super pleased with the nomination thank you I was able to read your application and you know cover letter and so on so I bet you that way but to be in person as well thank you for being here this evening is there anything you'd like us to know about you um just that I'm from New Hampshire and a little bit more and as see instead of been with Keir search for 20 years this so it's uh it's been a while but a lot of my time there um I'm gonna have a hiker and musician that's really on the risk I want to say I think he's at home in this room yeah all the instruments there including our drums yeah well thank you for joining us um can I have a motion to accept the nomination of seed Berry for director of so moved second all in favor hi hi hi opposed okay motion passes second nomination sure my second nomination I'd like to bring forward tonight is Miss Jamie Malloy um she is currently um for over almost 12 years now than the associate director of student services in the career side Regional School District I did confirm all this by the way with the superintendent yes I was just going to be really happy um and comes with a nice experience in that she also um was a case manager at Lebanon nicewood before she went to Kerr so she actually knows Lebanon quite well so I think that's a nice connection for us to have um and I'm nominating her tonight at an annual salary of 97,500 and uh she sends her regrets she could unfortunately not be here tonight but she is planning to either make the April or the main meeting she's checking her schedule so you get to meet her in person um but I think um uh you know she's a great candidate for us and I'm looking forward to bringing her on board um and just remind me on the start date um all of these are year-round contracts 260-day contracts with 1 July start date yep that is a member of the committee that met with her I would certainly recommend her highly I think so alright can I have a motion to approve Jamie milho combination of director of student services second right all in favor I post motion passes retirement yes it is with deep regret that I'm going to announce that we have received the retirement letter from this is Leslie Brown our bcba um I am working with Leslie for a transition plan so it you know I don't want to put her on the spot but we're working that she will be around next year uh to definitely support and you know we're working on some transition planning that I um you know will bring to the board hopefully in April um but um we're going to we're going to get this and we're going to do it right I just I publicly can't disclose a lot right now yeah um but we have some internal transition planning that we're going to be looking at um so um we're sorry like I said with deep regrets to have that retirement but she is willing to still provide some services for us so well she retired I think she might still be able to support us next year so any other disc session with great thanks for her service here I have a non can I have a motion to accept Miss Brown's retirement second all in favor bye motion passes okay uh 2026 2027 calendar yes um I'm gonna ask Kristen if she wants to weigh in in Brenda because I actually put this in the hands of Kristen Casey and Brenda to talk about um there are no major changes here except um we are aligning our start date with lead we're a little bit off with that um traditionally our calendar has only been off with 11 2 other areas and that's our G January PD day and our main PD day and those are still typically in this but um in general we're in good alignment but I'm going to toss it to Kristen or to Brenda because they were the working group with Casey around this yeah no I think it's it's fairly that is quote what we've done in the past we had some other ideas and throughout the staff and they prefer to be stay status quo so that's what we do the change that um this year is we're starting on the same day that Leviton is so we're not starting a day before like we did last year and year before that so that's pretty straightforward is it early just like on the way well no it's not early the weird part is that that we're all used to this what I call the 3 4 5 Star 3 days then Labor day but because Labor Day falling so late this year is this really weird start of 3 days then you're going to go a whole long week then you're going to come back half 4 days because Labor Day is not till September 7th because of the way that the yes yeah that's weird it was the first Monday that's why it looks early yeah if yeah it feels that way because normally it's we only got those couple of days and then it's Labor Day weekend but now it's a couple of days a whole week then Labor Day weekend so we also have a full 2 weeks again for Christmas break and that's uh the second or third year this is the third year we'll have that which is nice yeah people will really did appreciate that and we saw very nice yeah actually had someone come to me and ask if this was the new Norm I can't promise that all depends where Christmas Falls somewhere we also added to the calendar the snow days symbols just so that that uh you know we added 5 snow days in there at the end of the year in June just not that we have made them up but who knows what the weather is going to be right end up being is lebanon's last day of the 15th as well or do we go no Lebanon is the 11th the 11th that Friday before okay yeah traditionally we've always been a couple days after 1 um but we you definitely talk about this year end today on your next part but that's the calendar I don't know questions or concerns I do like how Lebanon does their teacher conference days um it's it's all 1 and done you can plan the parents so I don't I mean I'm not gonna obviously make any changes to this but it would be nice to consider in the future okay our school days considered emergency school and district closings say that again Nancy our snow our weather days considered emergency school and district closings um do you mean by like their exempt or are they know um does our policy for those closings go for snow days yes yes so because I was surprised when I read about that and then I know we're going to talk about policies later that staffer staff is encouraged to be available to work that day oh I'm I'm an emergency on snow closing days no we don't don't have that yeah I caught that too oh we can adjust that that might have been a carryover from an hsba when I picked it up that I didn't catch we can we can change that no we don't we do not expect our staff to work on snow days emergency closing days any of that if we close you know everybody's well everybody except administrators administrators work on that day can I ask clarifying question to what Julian was saying so I think and I may be wrong historically we've done half days because if you have lunch it counts as a school day correct but we count hours now does that matter not really wouldn't yeah so these are things we can look at as we we know we're in the Howard system because your hours yeah if you go by the days then yeah we we have to get to the lunch time to plan it is a day yeah and why we're on it if we have a delayed opening our staff um are they expected to arrive as soon as possible or are they expected to drive to about 2 hours like some schools vary yeah and I was wondering about that when I was reading policy yeah yeah and Rodney appreciates that so that we can get okay well can I have a motion to accept the presented 2026 2027 school calendar for GBS so moved second any other discussion all in favor I I all oppose calendar passes we can discuss the last day of school I know the board that asked a couple meetings and maybe it was back in January about looking at this year's last day of school because it's a Monday half day um and this is totally at the purview of the board um and so just to clarify what you're really going to set is what's the last student day because by contract teachers have to be here a certain amount of days I mean you can certainly Grant the teachers a paid day if you say you don't have to report to work but that's your purview yeah yeah I mean I'd like to propose that the students last day would be June 12th as a full day I don't this the Friday yeah and that we'd have plenty of hours long there's no 20 friend is checked it and we're good we're in good shape what's the I I agree more sense what's the contract CBA required and those are separate yeah um contract requires a specific number of days and it's 1 188 785 85 sorry 185 or 187 185 yes it's Meredith because it's 177 plus 818 5 yeah and do my mouth um it's 185 so that's their contract says they work 185 days 177 students days Plus 8 PD days what you what you could really be giving them is because technically that last day is the 177th day right but you're you're just awarding that to them as PD time whatever classrooms whatever they want to do right because they would still have that day yeah it just they'd only have half day with students right now they get a full day right because of the students and left on Friday I guess what I'm asking is when they're scheduled to be done Tuesday they are scheduled to be done too so they would work too Monday and Tuesday yeah the teachers yeah yeah I think it makes sense to wrap up on the Friday and not to have the students here on Monday unless you guys think that there's a and it'd be a full day you're saying right I think it should be a full day um the half days I don't know how it engaged my children are on half days um I think there's really tough especially the last days of school so um I don't find them to be particularly useful when is the last day for middle school high school the 12th is same day well that makes busing easier right yep does and are they a full day in Lebanon uh I think I think they're I think it's half day I think or maybe it's still easier because had half day and they had half day it would be yeah chaotic yeah is there any reason not to do that for your perspective I think we've come to expect the last day of schools I have to a right yeah I just like instead of taking away an entire day of school we're just removing a half day which makes me feel a little better which would be the Monday which is a half day because we're taking away Monday you're thinking Friday should be a whole day yeah which is a whole day already scheduled for them I see that side of the coin so I can from a educator perspective they can make anything work nothing's going to happen the last day of school if it's like if they're done yeah so when we do a half day we have an assembly and then they do their move up and we keep them busy with transitioning to summer a full day is a lot to to fill with that last day before summer keeping them all contained but we can figure it out that's what we do dance party right second round of hobby horse right how much hassle is it from a busing perspective it was also a half day with Le that gets tight just yeah it's tight I mean we do it when 2 times a year that you know we're full day in Lebanon is half day so but if we have early release and they have early release its kind of I mean and I have to he's really not half days they're more like thirds of the day and a third you know we don't it's like an hour 15 yeah so yeah I mean we could look at something like that if you wanted to do an early dismissal to figure it's just like I think about the parents who actually work and have jobs like I know that it's not just you know but it's something we need to think about plus we're giving them Monday off correct and that's a half a day correct so I have no problem with it yeah whatever the world of the board is a flat of it feel like it's cleaner to just keep it a full day other than you guys have to scramble a little more for a couple hours and come and help and do a field day go outside and play more more outside time help the kids make the kids clean their desks and stuff yeah but yeah I just I didn't I want to check in Phil are you hearing us okay I am I'm fine I'm listening I don't have trying to change it either way no I just saw you leaning in so I didn't know oh no no I that's me I just I yeah okay well to move forward I will propose that the last day of GBS for 2025 26 be on June 12th of Friday ending at normal end of day time with Steve figuring out the afternoon program get him on the hype so moved yes I uh confirm so do you want me to did you make a motion I think I made the motion but so second I guess yeah I guess you did all right any other discussion all in favor I I all oppose motion class next item is preschool rates for 2026 2027 sure um Aaron I'm going to ask if you wanted to chat a little bit about um the 15 minute adjustment between the 2 programs um and I'll do a little bit on the rate how does that sound that works thank you okay can you hear me okay okay great thanks for having me um so we've been talking as a group about the changes that we've made to preschool over the years and when we started we did 2 days for 3 year olds 3 days for 4 year olds and then when we combined to 3 4 we just kind of made it even 4 and 4 days um now we switch back to separating by age but we have the same amount of time for threes and fours what we're finding is that we really would like to have a little more time with the fours because the demands increase in the 4-year-old program um whereas the 3-year-old program is really a lot about play and social as is the 4-year-old but we start really adding more of those pre-academic skills in the 4-year-olds so we we thought about a lot of different ways to change it um but with all the changes that we're facing at GVS right now we just excited to keep it minimal for now um and we thought we could maybe just shift 15 minutes from the morning class over to the afternoon class currently they're both at 3 hours we'd like to reduce the 3 year olds to 2 hours and 45 minutes and that 15 minutes onto the 4 year olds which would make their day 3 hours and 15 minutes so it's a very very minor change but over the week it's a it's a full hour and that just will help us with um adding those extra react IC skill blocks that we want to do did that about cover Christine yeah I I think so and I'll open if the board has questions about that and then we can get into the rate conversation that you want or wait and we can talk right and then you can just discuss it all sounds good so that's just Monday through Thursday correct correct yeah it is it's still Monday through Thursday um Friday is when I do all of the IEP case management work okay does it keep the same amount of sort of in between time for you to flip from morning to afternoon it does if I if I take 15 minutes off the morning and just add it to the afternoon I'll still have the same amount of transition time 30 minutes of that time is my lunch and then I have about 15 minutes to flip the room yeah got it pretty bad thank you got this down to to a well-oiled machine here alright Aaron some days I'm not wearing the shirt I was going to wear about the lucky ducks not being in a row it's like definitely not all in a row but Aaron are you expecting uh both programs to be that capacity again yes I will be re projecting um kiddos this year I have more um interests than I do spots so next week is our screening where we determine if there are any kiddos who um are showing signs of potential delay those kids will be prioritized and then everyone else goes into a lottery and we pick through the lottery um I don't have to reject as many of the 3 year olds because that's a whole open class but our threes move into our fours so then I only only have 3 spots that open for that um so I'll I'll unfortunately have be having to say no to a few families we had the lottery before or is this the first time we'll have to do that no we've um the last couple of years we've done Lottery we used to do um first come first serve and over time we decided to change that because we had people getting on the list you know so early on and then someone moved into the area and there was just no dance for them so we thought it would be a little bit more fair for the population if we made it a lottery um and the the last couple of years I think I didn't have any room at all in my Force when I switch pushed over so I know last year I did take some but the year before I just had to say no to all the incoming Force because I had a full group um so yeah we've we've said no before it's not fun but it's something we have to do thanks yeah sure so we also met as a team um and discussed rates um and Brenda's going to correct me if I'm wrong here but we do get the flyer on the new preschool at cuden and 200 per week am I right Brenda next week $200 per week for this for 4 days for 4 days is it full like 3 and a half hours 3 and a half hours so a similar model to us $200 a week okay ask how much we charge alright alright here we go Aaron so we we have not seen a rate increase in our program since it started in 2019 you've got my facts and figures here um basically we are down to 748 cents per day um that we charge for the service what we're proposing is for the 3-year-old program that it would be 850 cents per day based on a 151 day uh we like the day rate because the days adjust sometimes in our calendar because it depends on conferences it depends on Miss snow days you know things like that so at at the 151 which is what we currently have in place um that would be a yearly cost of 1 122 83.50 compared to our flat 1130 per year that we bought for since 2019 so for 3 year program that's a 13.6% increase and then we are suggesting ten a day for our 4 year program um and that would come to 1,510 which is a 33.6% increase um keep in mind you haven't seen any rate adjustments in 7 years standard rate of inflation 3% and you know you would have seen at least by now a 21% climb um but we are still still well below like in Aaron jump in here because she did a lot of research on what the programs but in general most of what we found when it was the day rate was like it was maybe 2025 dollars per day right Aaron I mean there were several yeah several are like that there are a few schools that are free um because it's just what the school offers um so it's really all over the place but yeah a lot of schools are in the about twenty dollars a day um yeah and they're not necessarily full day programs they're similar to a half day program correct correct yeah we there's the whole gamut yeah some of them are like $20 for the 3-hour day um and then some are 25 for a full day it it it the spectrum is it it's crazy um everyone does something different but we we were talking um as a group that you know of course it would be great to get up to the the same value as other places but we don't want to cause such a drastic hardship for the families with the with the huge change right now so we were talking about an incremental change which is what Christine had just offered can you remind me did is this program meant to be self-sustaining for itself so Meredith worked with me and we presented um we looked at the total cost of the program from the staff perspective in any other supplies and that and in 2425 um we only went back to 20 2425 in this year and what we projected for next year but your total cost to run the program in 242 was 161,262.84 and you brought a revenue in of 17,421.60 um this year your total cost is projected to be 10 and it's actually down um is 147,732.47 is what we put in the budget for this current year in terms of cost um right now to date for Revenue we've received 10,777 people pay at different increments you know monthly remind me do all families have to pay the fee or only the families like is there a difference between the family that have yeah typical pure models pay um but students who are identified as having needs and have an IEP do not pay so basically none of the 4 year olds are paying but all of the no they are um so in each class I only have a few children who have IEPs so yeah we we have way more typical pure models than we do um kiddos who have IEPs okay yeah we're we're so we're approved as a preschool program not a special ed preschool right correct how did we budget this budget it's not the new rates um the revenue yeah uh Meredith how did we budget the revenue I think we did adjusted the current rate correct yes yeah same the same yeah because we didn't even have this rate discussion till well we were into the budget yeah it's so minimal and it's not certainly seems reasonable absolutely yeah so in a while I'm not overly concerned about it but I also feel like it's so it's such tiny amount of the revenue that it why like why do this why not just leave it where it is so I guess I'm just sort of torn like it's not it's not giving me so much revenue it's going to put it it's not going to be impact good or bad beyond what we've already budgeted Meredith I don't know if you want to jump in with that conversation or I mean it's kind of I guess the philosophy of how you want to think of it too I mean if you want to try to close a little bit of that Gap but it's um you know where we haven't had an increase um and to keep somewhat consistent with other areas um schools but at the same time you do make a very valid point so sorry the 1 thing I would add to it the reason it came up was because when we're looking at a change in programming it's not going to be the same for the threes and fours anymore so we shouldn't charge the same amount for each group so because we were going to be changing anyway is what spurred the conversation um so if the if the 3 year olds are only coming 2 hours and 45 minutes and a day and the 4 year olds are coming 3 hours and 15 minutes minutes a day um charging the same rate for both classes doesn't make sense right makes a lot of sense yeah yeah yeah that's where the the original um Aaron was right when she said you know we had talked about actually changing the model a bit more than the 15 minutes of the day but with bringing in a new director of student services we felt this is not the year to do that let's get the 1 year experience under this person and maybe they can bring some of their expertise and in that area which this person does have um and um you know so the great conversation came out of it we're going to differentiate the programs we want to think about the fee because all along we completely charged the same amount for both programs and you know in anticipate this is being a hardship if we raise these rates to any of your parents I I don't think so not with the increase that we're looking at it is minimal as we discussed um when we looked at other numbers I felt that would have been difficult also if there is a hardship it is something that can be reviewed by Christine um or you know the seiyuu and and um we can help families if needed it is part of it if I think it's if they would have a IED for free and reduced lunch is another way that they can be exempt from paying for a preschool so if they were a family in need in that way there's there's that route that they can take yep we can certainly work with things absolutely I mean at some point the board may want to talk about is this just a commitment the board wants to make and you know like Aaron said there are some there are no fees it's alright it's free I know um Cornish is is is 1 of the schools that does it for free every child can go for free um there are a couple of other ones most of them in our area do charge the typical pure models um but there are a few that just say you know what this is a service that we want for our community primarily it saves the district money to have the program because if we had to send our children with IEPs to different programs the transportation cost the tuition costs all that adds up to more than the cost of the program I think I remember when we first set this up that was the whole justification right let's see way more that cost us to just do it yeah yeah before the preschool program we had 3 kids that we transported to a different location so so that's a quick and today most of those programs are very full and they would not accept us right so that's another is it would be very hard to get into a different program um almost every preschool group conversation that I'm in is like we are so full um so I think that would be a hardship for us to is finding a place to to send dark atos well they already budgeted dollars so we're not going to change it to free this year right um the inquiry by I don't care either way I know it feels I don't know that I have a strong feeling other than I think Aaron what you said about making it feel a little more Equitable in terms of in not being the same amount of time and if we're gonna change make them a couple of round numbers yeah so I think I think they are reasonable like Phil said I'm not really worried about it it just was more like not doing a lot for us yeah but in case it does feel better somehow that's not exactly the same amount of hours do we build just for the year up front or do we actually adjust it based on how many days so I do the billing and it is um that's another cost it is um are build up front and they have the option it's 11360 per month so they have the option of um paying monthly or paying all on 1 lump sum they get little reminders but we don't uh we don't subtract these when there's a snow day or a know somebody's out sick or something like that it seems to me the zero charge versus any charge is 1 discussion for a different day I guess I'm in favor of this modest increase just based on what you've said yeah um do you find that people um need to bring it into I mean tracking very few people actually right you're talking about a small number but you tend to see that they they bring it up into monthly payments affordable or it's all over the board all over the place and you know every year they're all paid so it's you know like Aaron said if it was a hardship then we would now um and we would either reach out to them or you know if they're on free and reduced then um you know accommodations are made but we haven't had that so everything's paid at the end of the year and some people pay monthly some people pay every 6 months some people over but yeah some people but overpay and credit them forward I think I'm good with that I know I am I have a motion so moved second what is the motion I accept and accept the recommendation based on the recommendation you want the actual numbers red yeah recommend that we increase the and the rates best proposed right increased decrease okay any other gonna keep everything as is but I want to do a shout out to Mrs Kathy Buckley so she applied for the goyen literacy fellowship and I'm just going to kind of read from their website what that is um the goyen literacy Fellowship Identify some of the best literacy in the country honors their Excellence with the stipend which I've read is a thousand dollars stipend for the year provides a rich professional learning opportunity for Community shares videos in of in written Reflections about instruction with other teachers who are trying trying to improve their teaching practice so it sounds like they um those who get accepted for this Fellowship kind of form a cohort um they do some Sunday night meetings and um other times they have cohort meetings where they share out in um best practices and she they received over 150 applications from teachers across the United States and we don't know if she has it yet but she is has advanced to the finalists Realms super out of her I just want to give her a shout out that's great when will we know she didn't tell me that if she makes it which fingers crossed could we give her some flowers oh absolutely yeah that's impressive I think we should do the flowers even as a finalist sure you're okay with that yeah so she did say she has more work to do in terms of the application now that she's a finalist in that part has to be done by May 1st so any letters from she didn't say so I don't know she said it was all her own things she had wonderful okay okay yes we'll we'll work on absolutely I think we missed policies yeah oh yeah I skipped over policies you're right that's okay my favorite part okay we will go to policies um we have a reaffirmation of EBD indoor air quality and literally no changes in that from what's on the box just to reaffirming it to make it more relevant um we did have a um question about our um idling policy at the school so felt this was a good time to bring it back up to folks even more electric cars okay uh um any discussion on evbg can I have a motion to approve the reaffirmation of EBD and draw air quality so second all in favor hi I suppose policy passes we will move to ebb dashr administrative procedures for indoor air quality this is a first reading yeah so in my review of the policy I discovered that the policy itself called for administrative procedures which we did not have on the book so I then uh consulted with nhsba pulled in some things from the law I did take this policy to jlmc our joint Loss Management committee uh last week last week this week um and had them review it as all um it is still a first reading so if you've got any feedback I'm happy to make adjustments because it'll come back to you in in people for a second reading and adoption just a question about the 10-second versus 60 seconds thing was that us or was that just in their recommendation that's in the recommendation in the law too oh it's actually yeah I was just curious where that came from basically what I did is I took nhsba I took the law threw it into Gemini because I know how you like that other Gemini kind of policy I did and said make me a policy Gemini and then checked it for accuracy and it was pretty spot-on so my question is yeah it's like fine but like what is going to happen if somebody doesn't turn off their vehicle like we right like you can make me a policies but who's going to hold people accountable to this and to what degree it's fine it's more theoretical I thought the same thing the circumstance that you mentioned that happened recently and it's not like we can't cite people we can't find them we can't we can ask them to turn their engine off and we can respectfully and just you know say you know this is part of the indoor air quality act right and and just hope that people are but I mean I guess if they didn't want to comply and made it more difficult then you know we could have a conversation with Chief just about expectations and behavior on school campus right I mean that would never come just there I mean there's enforcement you're absolutely right Jillian it's I mean this is a compliance thing checks do you have it so when yeah a complaint gets made and then it comes to me I can say well it's here Chief you know we do the best we can do but I certainly am not going to staff somebody out in a yeah you know bright orange vest with you know and label them are quality control check kind of people right I mean yeah you could have a little group of cheerleaders and they raw raw all the cars that are right you know we didn't do stickers Nancy like you get a sticker for the day maybe we do an incentive how many stickers can you collect a month right I don't know but I don't know if it's this 1 or the other ones I talked about signage I assume there's a cost associated with that yeah there is but um Rodney does have connections at the state where you can get free signs he has reached out but the state is yep we've got you on the list they haven't come in yet we do have signs they're just more cutesy signs versus like the hey yeah right yeah we we have our our Custom Design signs I call them um yes well I have no qums about EBV d-r any other discussion yeah can I have a motion to move forward from the first rating of ebb dashr so move second just checking to see if you're there all in favor I I opposed it on the books although I was operating under the procedures at nhsba had in there um policy sample policy manual um so I just thought this is a good time to bring you forward um let the board weigh in I have already made a note Nancy that there shouldn't be any language in there about expecting stack to work that was probably me just not catching thought I did a close read but I can do another close read um I can clean that up that it's uh 8 on the first page H thank you okay there's also just the um scriveners thing editing though yeah 1 second please okay at the bottom where it goes back in paragraph form after the letter bullets yeah the first sentence has 2 periods the word below and then after that paragraph it goes into another list of 9 items and there's a formatting thing that they're bulleted like they're not bulleted it's just a block of text oh gotcha got it just easier to read like a bullet yeah gotcha I in terms of the content though strong questions or concerns of all right and our last policy for today is IG e-f request for alternative instruction due to objection of course material form so we we actually have a dash our um around that it's a clunky 1 it's a PDF and so Kristen um stepped up and uh prepped the form I need to know if he wanted to speak to an L or sure I think it asked for all the same information that um the previous 1 did the previous 1 like you said it was just clunky and and not easy to use um and we do have parents that have requested the form so it's good to have a solid on I think you used it twice let me use it twice as I need it yeah uh it's not so much a question about the form is probably the policy itself but it goes with but if there is a request or an objection to material for middle or High School that goes to that go to live through the area agreement that their policies yeah that so all of that according to our agreement all funds falls under lead policy so if somebody came to me I would help them find and get them you know squared away with what they have to do through lab yep cool how can I clean form this is thank you um not a lot more when we um the health education stuff that was a good Google that was a good 1 that's usually when we see at the moment um any other discussion no no can I have a motion to move forward IG e-f reaffirmation this form so second hi hi all right policies are complete okay they will go back to superintendent's report can I actually say something first that I forgot yeah because my time went in my head when I write this and when things happen we did have our e our homeland security um we got audit they came and so we have the sheriff here the police chief um people from the state 2 people from the State team and they walk around the building and check things out I think they sat with Rodney and both the Safety Committee um for probably an hour and a half to 2 hours happily and on a 2-hour delay day so it really took kind of final away from kids and we did come in on that 2-hour delay day to get that done um we had an 8 plus on our Emergency Operations plan so we did a good job on that we do have some recommendations um that they make for um improving Security in the building um every time he mentioned something I said well that was all I have to do this but we didn't get the Grant and so by the end I think I said we didn't get the grant about 8 ten times so maybe he got the point maybe next will get the grant yeah are there any things that we should consider though despite the grant yeah no there really wasn't there was more he was very impressed with what we have and it was more well if you to you could nothing was like you really okay so we'll get you a copy of that report so the board can look at it um if we do want to discuss it though we will have to move it into a non-public because it it discusses yeah um but that was my hope that we would connect we'll get that report to you um and you guys can take a look at it and if you feel you want a non-public either in April May do that but yeah great um I don't have anything um my report is oh I shouldn't say that I do because like Kristen anything between the writing um so um The Joint Club had their first competition I think here starts Regional Middle School competing against middle and high school students there over 40 teams there and um our fourth and fifth grade teams because it was all made up of fourth and fifth graders we had 3 teams representing Grantham Village School and our what's called our team a it was a team a we had a team a team C and a team D we originally we would have a team B but some folks weren't able to come at the last minute which is okay so I had to make a shift quickly so took the 1 person from Team B and added them to team C's but all of them well um but very proud of our students um there were 12 of them that participated that day um and for fourth and fifth graders competing against high school students they did a phenomenal job so much so is that they received the first ever what's called Innovation award for the competition so this is a brand new award for the competition that the National Organization I should say International Organization because this is global this is um it's called re CF aerial drone competition is worldwide all I mean you can go on their website get worldwide rankings for schools and kids it's really cool lots of high tech um companies behind the sponsorship um and it was actually um um manage Tech which I know very little because I Googled them but um matchtech is 1 of the major sponsors of it decided to create this award um and we are the first to ever get it and it is going to be posted on their International website um so we're super proud I was able to present it to the kids today in practice the 3 kids who made up the TMA um actually got their own certificates everything laminated um but this will figure out the kids we're looking at the Des toy box and saying we need to make rum and I said well I'll I'll chat with Mrs Reed and we figure it out but this is the first ever Innovation award uh that they granted um and we are proud recipients of it so I just share that with all of you and Phil I don't know if you can see it if the camera Zooms in or not no no that's tiny tiny tiny you're holding something up it's great that's wonderful um so super excited the kids were taking pictures with it today um parents were phenomenal that helped out Kristen Kane Kimberly McFarland k d k spent the whole day with us um it was a just a a good event um parents just jumping in um and then the nice thing watching these older kids also take on the you know work with these younger kids because the the the competition is about individual it's about team competition and working together as a team um and uh the Grantham teams respectively team a uh finished 12th overall in the competition um Team C finished 14 and 10 D finished 15th um it's pretty impressive for 4 fourth and fifth graders who've only been doing it for 4 months must have a good coach well it was totally a a team club effort they are great kids um and they're they they are the highlight of my week no matter what is going on um so that's cool yeah so that's it the rest is all in there all right we'll move to our second public participation session I don't think we have anybody nope and I will move forward to nonpublic session we will need to roll call into non-public and what is the I have the um we need a motion yeah student Brenda yeah I think it is um 91 3 2C yeah see here let's description actually yes so it's matters which if discussed in public would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person other than a member of this board unless person requests an open meeting the exemption shall extend to include allocation for assistance or tax abatement or waiver of a fee fine or other Levy if passed on if passed on inability to pay or property of African um this is kind of the general um RSA that covers non-public including students staff any person other than a member of the board thank you thank you didn't know what it was for students right in any of those
