New: Safe Return to School Family Survey

Please complete this survey by Sunday July 19, 2020, 8:00 p.m.

Dear Grantham Parents and Guardians,

The Grantham School District Safe Return to School (SRS) Committee is working to create safe and healthy conditions for providing instruction to students in Fall 2020. There are still many unknowns, however, including pending NH state guidance, CDC recommendations if the pandemic changes, and future Governor’s executive orders. We know that things may continually change as we begin planning and throughout the year, but it is extremely important that we hear from all of you; the impact of this situation will affect us all, and therefore we must all collaborate to find our best solutions. We appreciate your time as you provide valuable input to help us know your preferences, challenges, successes, and opinions.

Please note the following:

  • Your responses are completely anonymous.
  • A summary of survey responses will be posted early next week, and we will redact all information that jeopardizes anonymity.
  • This survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
  • Since some of the questions require complex choices, we suggest that you take this on a computer as opposed to your phone.

The Grantham School District is looking for a few community volunteers to help develop a revision to our non-discrimination policy. This is an opportunity to help devise a plan to proactively prevent, recognize and approach discrimination based on age, sex, race, creed, color, marital status, physical or mental disability, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identify. We value community input and would love to have more voices in this group. If interested, please contact Sydney Leggett at the SAU 75 office at 863-9689 or via email at sleggett@sau75.org.

Our team at GVS has reviewed state and federal guidance on the issue of remote learning, and we’ve combined this information with what we’ve experienced and learned with you over the past few weeks in our new world of school. All of this information has resulted in the following guidelines for remote learning at GVS. More than anything, we recognize that each family may have different needs, and we’ll do whatever we can to be flexible and adaptive to those needs.

We’re in this together; we’re a team of great, collaborative problem solvers and we’re committed to working with you the whole way through.
