okay we're going to go ahead and get started call the meeting to order at 6:31 and thank you for joining us everybody there's a lot of people and first thing to do tonight is the approval of the agenda have any changes or additions to the agenda tonight play Sweeney Todd motion to approve the agenda I see each other is approved our first item on the agenda is public participation just a quick reminder for public participation you can participate if you're here in the room or if you're joining us for twilley either way we just ask that you state your name and address at the beginning of for the record and not standard for our public transportation policy will open and this is a chance for the two Share info with the board if it's something that the board can prove an easy answer to we well otherwise it will just be us listening and and taking in the information and if we if you are providing public input through the virtual option you can type into the shop where you can raise your hand and we can bring you in so you can speak and that is fine as well so we'll open public participation and we'll see what we have would you have some folks here in the room with us and we will see just confirming the chat is on but it is about how time moves differently waiting quietly give it a few more seconds and we'll move on to our board agenda items the first of which is our student School Board liaison and we're really excited to welcome our two new school board School Board liaison tonight and Dorothy is in the it's really exciting and I don't know we had a student School Board liaison be able to be in the room with you and Allie everybody's here Ellen and Ali were joining us on Zoom so thank you all for being with us tonight we appreciate it and welcome to Ali and to Dorothy and if you haven't had a chance the two of you haven't had a chance to see where we usually have our students School Board liaison just give her a really brief report out on how things are going at school for you if you have heard anything in particular from classmates or teachers that you think would be good for the board to know and if there's anything in particular of note for you that you would like to to let us know about and then if the board has any questions about things that were discussing tonight that we'd like you put on will ask those and if there is something that we asked you about and you feel like you don't have a good answer for it please by all means feel free to say I don't have an opinion about that or I'm not sure about that or I'll let you know next month don't feel like you have to come up with something on the Fly for everything we know that you know we don't give you a lot of like had window of time to prepare so if we ask you a question that you're not sure about that's totally fine so I think what will do tonight Will Allen take us off since she is our our veteran experience to the school board liaison and will let her to give us a quick report out on how things are going and if there's anything that you would like to know excuse my voice I have a little cold right now I think there's something going around the school I could imagine it's probably the same in the elementary school I don't think there's too much talk about this month is kind of weird between season final stretch to midterms I think in terms of midterms this is like the first real one I've had my freshman year I didn't have midterm for like any class and then myself kind of weird be a senior and must be like my first real midterm we'll see how it goes and then activities we recently had a winter fest which was successful and talent show which I believe it last year and previous years it's been an online challenge posted stuff my stuff up to have an in-person talent show yeah and I just have noticed there's been a lot more funding for clubs I know I'm part of the interact club and we got more funding than we usually do I think that's G to the homecoming which we had it was a lot of money which is great yeah I think that's pretty much it in yours are applying to colleges just stressful I know that I think through the next four years a lot of colleges are still test optional which is good I mean I don't want to send my test scores but yeah that's it thank you any questions would you like to share any what is you're applying to which is sad but play songs from that I got in there and I think I'll do a couple more schools maybe like Trinity in America and then if I don't like any of free what are you thinking study really super Shore you going into it either like file witchy or biological anthropology or something like that but we'll see excellent thank you all right and good luck on your midterms that is a fun. So how to not to be in your senior year until all kind of looking virtually why do we have Ali why don't we have you report out to the board is just kind of give us an update on how things are going anything that you have noticed this year that you think the board should be aware of and any other thing topics that you'd like it bring up the like I think you're muted Ali you hear me now though it's getting better or maybe you can put your volume up more sorry about okay we're not all staring at you I just got it working I think you hear me now okay see you soon for me not a whole lot to report my first my first year in high school and I'm getting ready for midterms I feel like I'm in the same position this LMAO first I will be having my midterms so little bit stressed for that the teachers are all amazing and getting ready for that and then do the whole time so sadly report any questions the board might have excellent thank you alright and then we have Dorothy here with us in person and so feel free to say no give us a quick update on how things are going and topics that you'd like to bring to the board I mean bring my brother and we haven't all right it's not that I remember going into my first midterm and being really concerned and not understanding and having to deal with all these cars are because midterms are a big part of you braids and just not getting how to do that and I ended up doing okay but it was a lot of stress on me personally I was also just in your direction which was there was an unfortunate amount of name-calling and bullying backstage which I think would be good for you guys Winterfest went well as well I have one I have a couple questions just for any of the three of you if you have input on this I'd love to have it so if it comes back to you feel free to interrupt us so it doesn't disappear again one of the questions I have or you always at the last meeting the board looked at an updated dress code policy for the school and so we had our first reading of that policy which means tonight we do a second reading of it before it kind of official eat and the jumping if you if you don't stay that long or if you weren't part of that he can just kind of give you an overview of it really focused on there was a great committee that did this work for us and brought this policy forward to us and it really focused on removing a lot of like a gendered language or things that my only clothing that my only apply to one gender or another from the policy having a much more focused on making sure that clothing appropriate not distracting functional for things like playing and Jim and that kind of stuff things like making sure you have you no shoes that are good for running and clothing that's going to cover important parts of your body that can so it's much more of a general policy and so I was just curious as the three of you if any of you have had either experiences or he would have input on things and if there are things that we should consider as we look out finalizing new dress code policy for GPS yeah I'm not the devil super apply to the elementary school but I last year I was working with the the committee that worked with the administration at the middle school working on their new dress policy as well so we're doing the same thing just taking out any gendered language and it was very like it we there's a lot of strictness that was in the policy that got taken out it was just it was yeah so became very Broad and a lot of just other stuff I didn't need to be in there. Take him out like there was some old things that I was like I didn't apply anymore as well as did every once in awhile just to keep up with it's Styles but that to just like keep up with the times I guess it sounds like that was pretty similar that but you guys the work you did to what were looking at that's good Dorothy did you there's a lot and there's a bunch of but it's kind of hard to be on medicine and figuring out what you want to do and what a present for you so maybe it's best for them to do what they you and still achieve academic success island did you have thoughts on the dress code no problem if you did I was just going to say that I thought it was a really great idea I remembered in middle school and one instant where I was wearing my rowing Jersey for like rowing spirit cuz that's what you do when you're on a sports team and I was told to change because my colored bra strap was showing and I was like that's ridiculous there's other girls in here wearing sports bras with cuz I'm wearing a normal bra I should go and change and this is my role in Jersey so yeah I think it's a really good idea I don't think we've had any problems in the high school with a pretty relaxed dress code which I think allows people to explore their Styles and yeah I think it's great you just made but it was really it kind of reminded me of I've been doing application for college and one things that I have kind of noticed and compared is around this area I think it's a lot of pick this or this and it's less and so maybe like combining things and kind of expanding interdisciplinary thought that's why I went ahead to that thank you any other questions are facing the board tonight excellent all right well thank you to the three of you and as always and further all in for Dora we always end I was on my saying you are welcome to stay for as much of the meeting as you can stand but if you would like to quietly exit the meeting now that is absolutely fine we know that you are very busy people and have a lot going on so don't feel like you need to stay for the whole thing but you are of course welcome to stay so thank you very very very much find write to our next the item is our our next agenda item is our budget item so tonight is our last budget for looking at specific budget areas and then as a board we will finalize but we would like to bring forward I'm seeing the February meeting so this meeting is when we finalize the full budget of what we would like prevented in February February is when we do the hearing and that's sort of like our dress rehearsal of the annual meeting and so we like to have the budget really down at that point we got final input from the community during the hearing and then after the budget hearing in February the board votes to move the budget to finalize budget for work so this is our last chance to really go into like the specific line Adams and then look back at that list of items to consider so I think first tonight special education special education so I was thinking about how is going to be best to go through all the items so I think we'll go through the special education is the way that we normally would do and then after that we'll go to the list that I sent everybody because you know there's obviously connections there and some decisions to be made so I'll go through the Lions and then I'm going to hand it off to mrs. McGee mrs. Person further deeper explanation I don't think so right away with line number one with wages for special education instruction you'll see an increase proposed $58,067 this relates directly to the proposal that we sent with the justification of trying to move towards having an additional case manager and eliminating to Educators so basically bring from 13.5 Heroes for special education to 11.5 Harris but with the addition of a case manager and I think you saw him and justification how that really moves us forward having teams Marco. and the most important thing would be more direct instruction from a certified teacher to students who are most in need so Nikki and Kristen add any the nation that they would like to ask you prepared yeah it aligns directly with the empty SS model in the udl Universal Design for Learning I think especially blue covid-19 seen some academic losses and so are we provide more targeted instruction and also more feedback for kids and so there's so many bad happens to him is that in provide that intensified instruction with in the classroom Panera's historically and I'm proud of myself on the bottom table that on the graph was I just added the enrollments in the percentages of students with IEPs at CVS really to show that I see a trend or a pattern and there wasn't so I think that just speaks to the nature of this is not necessarily the number of students it's the student needs individual ISO you know what pops out in these number with the number of one-on-one para would reflect a need for a lot of water but I kind of jumps out at you so if I was okay if I say something been around and heard what MPS is there anyone who isn't familiar with mtfs and I just wanted to point out that the blue on the chart with the three regular one of those is the kindergarten paraeducator that was decided in the board a few years ago and do all students basically. the title one pair as a cheer is about 50% funded through the brand and we're able to offset that through the title one Grant and about 15% is about and have it through the rain by Adele Aspera is something that we brought in during covid and when we were reading the mpsf structure so that works directly with with reading and math intervention should provide all those injured and services you know I'm very timely fashion so before we go to any other line on do you have questions about this proposal it does this the need for full-time special education teacher I'm just thinking we can't predict how our case was change from year to year but I losing to Perez might we be sure if we suddenly have an enrollment of might need more support yes and I think that can always happen it could happen whether the board wants to switch to this model or not you know what we could have five students next year one-on-one one-on-one there's about six play work with groups of kids in the classroom. 101 and so it wasn't can't work another been there would be a shared para that would likely feel that me if five kids second grade level not so if a one-on-one moved in there maybe one-on-one services in any model we would be and I'll just add that by having an extra special education teacher it would stabilize the caseload assignment so and I'm not sure how much I care about that in the paper but if there were if there was the same case manager or Lagos construction because you're working with age and praise band we know how much diversity there is in one grade but if you have a teacher working with K students and we're third grade students for right now we have what case was so we have to case manager schedule can I ask a question about program how do we identify instruction then how do we provide extra instruction above and beyond those mpsf blocks using data to inform decisions and aggressive soon as they are not making are making enough progress then you change the ID and you say okay we need to do something about the most challenging Style they might need to more time in the day with the teacher or an individual time in order to make that catch up slow and again the opposite of the best model is a wait spell model right behind until they become eligible for special ed and that Melody is generally and I'll say just very generally a year-and-a-half two years behind grade level academics and so if you think that a kid fell behind they're not even making one year's growth in one year and then we have to somehow keep the same student and learning profile make a year in one year two years in one year if we want him to catch up so this is one way to is the stability bar it wouldn't have case managers like this year is everybody we can teach making teach them all I'm reading this correctly then it doesn't 50000 8000 and wages are wages assuming their corresponding retirement go with that 60001 which would be we keep the Perez we don't hire enough is manager and then option two is we hire the additional case manager and reduced a few pair of the differential between those with all Associated benefits is $35,000 other questions on that okay it's going to come back up again because this is a this is a proposed model shift its philosophical and philosophy model ship that I very strongly agree with it is a better way to educate all of our students I think with the portal needs to do when you look at everything else is is this the year that you want to do it or is it another year so it's our case manager case loads are not too heavy so it's not a matter of having another case manager to manage he said it's really a matter of how we're delivering services to all of our students and how we're working towards Universal the last Design for Learning and PS all of these things all these other pieces is leading Us in this direction where we try to match my bag certified teachers as much as possible all right line to the next is an increased need for special education director which is actual we the board always discusses raises for administration which last year it was before last year the administrative wages have always followed an increase that sequel to the custodial staff and Food Service however there is due to the need to have a more competitive wage went up 5% so the board last year had decided to do an increase of 3% for administrators and that's what we have into this that it but of course that's up to you edsby the higher the specific higher if you're looking at the fact that it's more than three so when we budgeted last year we didn't know who we were hiring or what the actual calorie amount was the Apple hiring salary amount battery percentage we took away the special at Dan driver that was for substitute Bandai birthday and you know we can't find a substitute and driver so there's no use been keeping that money in the budget special education summer tutoring this is going to be for all of our efy program and this is something we just increased it by a thousand but this is also something where the board will need to talk tonight about whether you want to continue that summer programming which is in a separate function and if if the board chooses to not keep all of the regular education summer programming we will add about $8,000 to this line so just so that you know it's increase by 1000 but if if we don't do the other option then we would add a thousand for this to be able to have enough bandwidth to catch them of that wrist students are those special education paraprofessional is this is down 36,000 because it reflects the proposed model of the reduction of a has been a behavior interventionist to this is the usual increase special education preschool preschool teacher it was are all the contractual increases and in this case there's also an attraction the insurance buyout is up 1009 63 and we actually you know the insurance payouts actually help us so increases there are usually a good thing special education insurance deductible is stable insurance is pulled out disability insurance is up 170 $7 short term disability $145 Social Security is at 3070 Medicare 706 retirement is down 16501 and Meredith but also are there any between the model New Hampshire retirement the other line 27 11512 professional development reimbursement is a table and that's contractual for our specialist unemployment compensation is down $168 workers comp is 119 contracted Services is an area where we did a pretty significant increase of $7,000 these are the things that are the kind of unique contractor services for special education that actually don't go under a an Audiology or a vision or something like that this could be something like where we might need to hire a reading Specialist or we might the higher end orientation Mobility Specialist or what are some of the other ones that would follow in here that's why I've been operating spin expenses are up about $2,000 there's some maintenance that we need on the van some door fixed thing and some general maintenance the band is getting a little bit older so it needs a little bit more loving care of these days nothing for preschool related to special education transition services this is for one of our students in transition we believe that we believe based on the students birthday and and exit date that a slight reduction would be appropriate here the van lease is estimated at an increase of 3929 that's for our van driver your first student that's what we pay for students are there for their driver Elementary tuition private second special education secondary tuition private I think every year we kind of go through the same conversation where we put in $65,000 here for the potential of an out-of-district placement and we usually have the conversation where we put one in because one could happen and then the gorgeous eyes do you want to cut that out you could because you could rely on the trust if you need to we do have I would say to potential for next year which is a little bit different than previous years. I don't know if you're interested in keeping one if you would still like to try and reduce that to reduce the budget and look at the trash so that's something that's on the table nothing in the house remedies could come out this year and we would need to access this year special education travel we reduced just based on what the some actual spending has been supplies there's a slight increase to 1600 for some materials testing material things like that that are needed gasoline we didn't increase just thinking about we don't know exactly where fuel costs are for the van right now special education software there's one program that we like a few hundred dollars equipment we left even at 1000 we usually leave at your marks because when we do need a piece of equipment it's usually pretty expensive and special education dues and fees that are there's an increase of under $75 and those are for membership organizations and that comes to a total increase of $123,348 which is a 10.99% increase numbers that I that are on the one that's in the board packet for some of those are a little bit different is ours or his is updated okay cuz our there was a few in there but our final number was only 6.75% so yours is a more the more accurate the band we are friend I apologize that what other ones were off but that one that one size up with Sydney asparagus so I don't know if you want to discuss some of these ones that are somewhat negotiable or do you want to wait until we get to that one the gospel list I would say if there's one set. Questions out right now while we're gone let's look at them and then we'll come back we need to come back again in the bedroom last we will other ones on this you that we just looked at it while we're looking at this bigger picture for this budget line questions about roughly at what what I would say that it's high surprise eggs that are really driving her numbers up cuz like if you look at this chart you know a few years ago we had three one-on-ones or for that one so what would we what we would be doing is we would be changing a model where we would have to humor Perez and what we would have is the case an address in the classroom for more of their time not all the time because they do still do direct instruction and case management but there would be more co-teaching where the case managers are actually pushing into the classroom it would there be a decrease in services on kids at Pacific Lee have a one-on-one two pairs what's on the kids menu GFS model if we increased by case manager so let's just look at that cater to ban there would be three empty at this time one of her grade level that we now have we doing all hands on deck the case manager would be there at all times to work with a group of students in by law it could be 50/50 so it could be 50% special education and 50% regular education so if the team members working with two special education students she could also want to reggaeton at acacian students in that room if they have similar deficits so but that it also allows time later in the day outside of those MPS time that's the case manager can be working in an intense week with the students that they normally would be the kids on the IEPs that have been there I be that they need to get that case manager the time to when do the intense inspection on the IP but then hit that cheer to intervention with the special ed kids but add regular education kids in there as well and right how does special education in general special education parents are more it's more spread out right they're not necessarily in like a targeted it was a struggle with the math little on that I mean if you look at it from App Store hours for sec to your decreasing the number of available hours you have could you getting rid of two pairs for one but I'm not I'm not disagreeing with out at all with you now just so I guess I'm trying to get into Bridge of how you're taking 11 hours in 27 and things are going to try more service which isn't one of the things that we would call it so you know you might at this stage that the student would get maybe some and mtss time or during that time one of the case manager would have to take that student someplace else or at another Thunder in the box with this model the student would always have the MPS as time with the case manager and then the case manager could if that student needs that take that person for an additional time later in the day or a another pair work later in the day so they could get like a double-decker a triple-decker of intensive Services throughout the day which we don't have the ability to always do that right now but that's what an additional Aid special as it goes services in class Aid Mike's order kid but this would be a stronger so I can get the copies they might be taking them alcohol on the Whiteboard sabacc the chips are learning how to take them some prioritize pieces how to take the note so they are actually getting instruction on taking notes instead of having to Pera in there to give the kids actually went unless they're all the IEP Pyrenees or child per grade and looked at next year what they would need in the bathroom and Kristin and I said okay so if it was an actual teacher and it was we'd end up with the same numbers even though we got there I'm going to say the same correctly so bear with me this model issues the needs are not weighted correctly by the grade levels where you were beside of the Spectre yeah there are some ways to dumb we do have that we do have Incredibles that have our needs right now every grade level is going to have him use and there are other ways where we can try to utilize this if we need to for example we have some very intensive case management kind of things so mean see if the case manager is in a grade level that has lighter co-teaching responsibilities that person could be able to be the case manager for one of the students who has like a whole lot more needs so there's ways to balance out all that part does that take away from the white and gray band so they're not terribly with some of her students with the most intensive mean they would be having a lot more related services in a lot more different different needs outside of the another way to look at knowing that we have a PK and a general Ed k I'm so happy to be one parent they will be lots fluctuation because again if it's not one-on-one Services is already apparent in that grave no more a position not a person you can't move in that are heavy duty one on one needs that one and I while we're talking. Just the next page of the budget that I have the new one that I sent out and I don't know if it's in the one that you hang a bird packet but is the summer school one because we talked a little bit more about that this morning so the summer school will come if you still want to run summer school the way we started to there in full bed with me 20674 but both Kristen and Nikki had socks on some of their preferences for where if you're making me step decision where they would prefer that you start to to focus money on so I was handed over to them so my program in the model that Mickey presented is by cutting out regular Ed summer program I think what it mean mathematically decide it would shave $10,000 off the would make up that 30 $35,000 difference with those but I think you're by cutting mat and saving some money I think the the extra case manager during the school year is a much more bang for your proposal and if you wanted to cut money to help get to that that point the regular summer school would be a logical place to do that I mean we want both but we did talk about this morning because we know that there's a big percentage increase and we know that if there's going to be places where you have to make a decision so that was something that I think both men making you would probably agree with that right now. And not at work call Babe have we ever spent any money on the private tuition this year and which one are you talking about the one in the 40s but we didn't have anything budgeted and we that's the one where we could potentially have to spend some money from that line but it's still open how many students at Lowe's 65000 adequate if we believe that it wouldn't be residential and we believe that if something happens as we believed it would be at a day program reason why that isn't translate level we're required to 100% residential well our last residential placement in the grandson was 500,000 are and we have 400000 and Trust rings yeah so if we have one residential pop-up but trust anymore would be gone but on the other hand we talked about using the best at all and we have it and there's also this interesting idea that Pittsburgh Richie is the trash because at any time we could have one student who needed residential you know where we're always trying to let you know that right now you know there are two game placements continue until if they happen this year and they mean things like I know this is impossible to stay because like you said I really liked what you said about how it's it's who this Nunez doctor near nothing just the numbers on the page but knowing who we have her students who are in this who would be benefiting from the change to another case manager position do you think that there is the potential for that kind of position and that MPS approach to mitigate some of those potential situations where there could be a Place Mall Lakewood are those are the need for that placement sort of outside of the realm of that okay it's nice to have you here this is just so calm play complex is Cara impacts so much the older they react with other factors that are now walking with his success than the original disability but I think a lot of these we salt other discussion on this area knowing that we're going to come back questions for special education okay alright next one is services Apple Services is a slight increase of $5,640 and that's based on the number of the valuations basically that we believe we're going to need Nantucket Island speech is next to the speeches all a contract of service and based on the increases proposed that $34,660 this is based directly on I-80 near and it also includes summer speech instruction so it includes both during the school year it's been all year around set it I'm assuming around the corner cupboard in summer it doesn't sound heartless it's just if it's in the IP for the students to receive speech summer Services then we do it you don't win by the wall plans and five kids in a speech or language as a person yes a few years ago we could not hire a speech language pathologist we advertise for a very long time couldn't find anybody 0 applications are very hard to find and so we went to Contracting with boothby and then it actually worked out really well the contractor Services contract we can hire her are we have to pay for. OT PT and Cota would be next so there's a year 8427 dollars and we believe that that's largely due to what we believe we can cut and $10,000 from Contracting Services in there's any questions there Audiology contracted service we have an increase of 36000 the requested budget is 61,000 and I know some of these numbers are really kind of shocking at times but this is what else are these days for these specialized instruction and related services increase in cost with a little bit of next year I believe we are going to have is it four or five Jackson increase in students definitely from what we had before but the costs are also increasing in some of the needs and the IUD increase because they have different requirements as they go to the different develop Vision contracted service by is an increase of 46400 or a total of 62000 but the same although I don't know exactly if there's a correct student increase there definitely is with deaf and hard-of-hearing students but I'm not sure if the same students receiving goods and services the numbers have not increased but I think you both to years back in the budget this was under contract and services and then so you'll see number under contract and services and then when it went down because I moved here and then going to come closer at that this year and probably when we're trying to put some of that into the idea Grant wherever we can definitely this year one and I believe that is being last one for the latest Services unless I'm missing our these are big numbers right in big increases I can tell you that with the exception of the case manager proposal leaves RIT driven this is the appropriate time to ask with this questions always in my mind do we have an english-as-a-second-language teacher and it's not because you don't want to start there are some students like we do have a student where the student needs e l l and special education services but most often their separate because the idea is that you don't want yellow to be seen as a disability great that are reading specialist Happy Valley is certified as an e l l teacher a great has are additional certification we are seeing increased needs their so in the 1100 that we added some contact Services because we will need more than what mrs. Buckley can provide considering all of her other reading specialist okay so that takes us through all of our budget function areas so now we look at the overall picture of the budget so thank you for everybody who has presented to us to have done all of the work of realistic I'm really appreciate this really detailed and thorough look at it and so now we will look at the overall picture so what is our overall picture kinds of weather for Budget come out with all of us I'll let Meredith give you the very final percentage increase is although one thing I want everybody to remember is we with the if the director of cricket on his trap a assessment moved forward we got to so when we're looking at the final amount that percentage will be off that a little bit by the playing field and cornice Revenant there's an increase of better than $3,850 which is 5.3 + 5 so I'll pull up I'm I'm going to share my screen and pull up the final decision list as we start going through and and various things that could potentially stay or go so curriculum instruction and assessment director which is in the 1100 function the total amount in the budget is 132350 we would get $79,410 of revenue from Plainfield and corn and the total Grantham decrease is 50 2009 $40 and I just listed some basic pros and cons that I probably don't need to reach you again after that 4.50 for and the other two districts are interested yes I can tell you that Cornish is the top of their list it's the one thing that they want to keep more than their other purpose we'll save that stem I was like this I'm in Plainfield is it is towards the top of their list so they're extremely interested therein neither one of them has finalized their budget either they're all were all in the same state right now the next thing that we on the list was the library Furniture which is function 2220 which is a total of $2,320 I think mr. colored went through with it a good prose and them the crimes you want that cost Like I think it was really like noticeable for the to be like oh there's something happening but it isn't directed at us like I think that's a cool thing for them to be able to see which is actually great I found an organization that so we have trouble finding food trucks to come to our end of year celebration which was packed and a food truck line for very long so now if we go through this same Hub we might be a lot more food trucks for that night cuz I assume good idea it was fun and yeah they came in they set up a corn hole thing to play while you're waiting and all right so I'm next agenda item is a superintendent report and that was in Sydney's email things at Sydney sent us anything that you want to highlight or a ski report yeah I'm just going to briefly add that the safe Grant is underway we were able to have mr. combo with able to have somebody come in and start getting estimates so that might happen sooner than we thought that would be great and then I just wanted to highlight the wonderful news about our middle and high school students and how incredibly I meant to say on our way to take action on this but before the holidays the teachers of Grantham each received a $200 donation all of them from a family in Grantham anonymously totaling $4,000 and the teachers can buy whatever they want or they can pull their funds to buy something more substantial and it was just a thank you for everything that you've done and how strong we stayed during the pandemic incredibly gracious and it was such a beautiful mess I would have cried the message would have been enough Beauty group that we have that just out of the blue something like that comes this as just a message to how much people appreciate GPS any questions or a Sydney on her work the day before he said he would not have been able to do remotely are any everything that needed to be done after that storm we would have been Desperately Seeking a lot of expensive outside help you just be able to hear after that everybody know is that good I write our next agenda item is a consent agenda anything in any don't want to pull our update something Bonita I meant before we all right we need a motion to approve the consent you are going to have to remove remove the trustees of the December 22 so we need a motion to approve the in the consent agenda as amended all right and we have our second public participation so we will open public participation anyone who's here the room or joining us virtually can participate just a reminder to please are your name and address at the beginning of your comments on so they have those for the record and if you're joining us for chili and you'd like to participate you can or you can raise her hand and Will are you in I'm still open an arcsecond public participation we have two people on in the chat is back open we can switch back to wake up see what he has but I'm glad somebody mentioned that cuz of the first one I'm thinking at least we hold me back I need elementary school around the average a week before break or the week before that 50% and so she had a report she had to fill out every day and send to the state and I got I just got Higher and Higher and Higher and every day she would have submitted and say okay what do I do and see what's the problem like you're not going to shut us down your yeah they got over 50% hillsboro-deering closed down because of flu and they just had so many kids and stuff out but how do we what do we use new material all right I don't see anything coming in so we will go ahead and close public participation mission for tonight we do have a non-public session cracks we do and what are are they for that one there is a 91 883 to our next meeting is February 7th which is the budget hearing that will be in the cafeteria correct are we doing it this year so February 7th thank you to everyone who joined us tonight thank you for all the work to folks and to the people who volunteered for this but even really appreciate it we are not we're not going to reopen a zoom meeting which means go into non-public will shut this to meet him down and then when we come out of our non-public the only thing that we're doing is just returning the meeting so thank you and we need a coach to emotion emotion to enter public under RS a 91832 e a i Nancy Moseley Brittany I
