Emergency Alerts from GVS:
We periodically need to send emergency alerts. With weather closings and delays, we have had our share lately. When an alert message goes out, please listen to the message and not immediately call the school as it ties up the phone lines. In the event of a real emergency, the lines will need to stay open.

From Our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Buckley:
Reading is one of the most important skills that a person can have. It opens up a world of possibilities and allows people to learn about new things. When people read, they are exposed to new ideas and different ways of thinking. This helps them to critically evaluate information and make better decisions.

Passport To Winter Fun:
The Upper Valley Trails Alliance’s Passport to Winter Fun program has begun and our school is participating! The Passport is an engaging program that encourages children to be more active during the winter. For every 10, 20, and 30 days that your child is active for at least 1 hour, they can claim prizes from participating businesses! We will be sending booklets home next week and all you have to do to register your child is please complete the Front Flap and turn it in to the school, mail it to UVTA’s Passport to Winter Fun (P.O. Box 1215, Norwich, VT 05055) or Scan QR code to complete the form online. Please mail or submit Front Flaps by Friday, February 24th! If you want to receive program updates and deadline reminders, you can subscribe to the Winter Fun Weekly eNewsletter by emailing [email protected]. Let’s keep our kids healthy and active this winter!
Please see Mr. Pollard with any questions
